<p>An old <a href="http://sunset-garden.net/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/sunset-garden.net/?referer=');">Stalker</a> track has surfaced via, surprisingly, a <a href="http://stereogum.com/590221/stereogum-monthly-mix-december-2010/mp3s/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/stereogum.com/590221/stereogum-monthly-mix-december-2010/mp3s/?referer=');">mix put together by Stereogum</a>. Don&#8217;t know how they got their hands on this one (other than <a href="http://twitter.com/stalk_er/status/10798415063552000" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/twitter.com/stalk_er/status/10798415063552000?referer=');">a tweet after the fact</a>, I hadn&#8217;t heard anything about the track), but it&#8217;s quite the find. </p>
<p>After listening to <a href="http://www.parttimemusic.com/tag/stalker/">his stuff over the past year</a>, I think it&#8217;s safe to say that &#8220;Heaven&#8217;s Gate&#8221; is the first Stalker track which is above 60 beats per minute. Although it&#8217;s not slowed down to a molasses pace, the track, with it&#8217;s warbly loops and indistinguishable vocals, is certainly <em>very</em> Stalker-esque. Check it out below and <a href="http://stereogum.com/590221/stereogum-monthly-mix-december-2010/mp3s/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/stereogum.com/590221/stereogum-monthly-mix-december-2010/mp3s/?referer=');">head over to Stereogum for the whole mix</a>:</p>

<p>Not one to brag, but I think I am in the top tier of Korallreven fans in the world. Due to my lengthy stint in Scandinavia, I think I will always have an incredibly large soft spot for Scandinavian musicians (see: jj, Jens Lekman, Taken By Trees, Raveonettes, Air France, ceo, etc&#8230;). <a href="http://www.myspace.com/korallrevenmusic" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.myspace.com/korallrevenmusic?referer=');">Korallreven</a> seems to be the Swedish import du jour, and this 22 minute mix that they put together is just one of the many reasons why. </p>
<p>The majority of the mix is an assortment of remixes and mash-ups &#8212; some of them theirs (SALEM, Taken By Trees), some of them other people&#8217;s (Teengirl Fantasy remix of Memoryhouse&#8217;s &#8220;Lately&#8221;, and of course <a href="http://soundcloud.com/shamantis/j-biebz-u-smile-800-slower" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/soundcloud.com/shamantis/j-biebz-u-smile-800-slower?referer=');">slow-mo Bieber</a>) &#8212; with some solid hits interspersed throughout. Love the start, love the mid-section, and the finale is phenomenal. This is a picture perfect blending of sound that is going to get more than the standard single listen for mixes. </p>
<p>Check out the track list below and download that shit (43Mb): (via <a href="http://www.gorillavsbear.net/2010/09/13/mixtape-korallreven-a-dream-by-korallreven/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.gorillavsbear.net/2010/09/13/mixtape-korallreven-a-dream-by-korallreven/?referer=');">GvB</a>)</p>
